How it Works
How it Works
- Email us to discuss your needs and schedule an appointment. We will discuss suitability for assessments/therapy whether they be via face to face to online/Telehealth.
- You will be sent an email with a link to the intake form before the initial appointment. This needs to be completed prior to the session, otherwise the appointment maybe cancelled.
- Initial appointment (face to face and online) includes the psychologist and yourself (and child) and involves a comprehensive history, discussion of the assessment process, the technology setup requirements (if online assessment is best suited), relevant information related to your (or your child's) presentation and history of challenges. At the end of the session your psychologist will discuss with you their recommendations in terms of moving forward. If an assessment is recommended your clinician will discuss the tools and assessment sessions required.
- An assessment consent form will be emailed for agreement to proceed with the assessment process.
- An invoice will be sent with full payment prior to the first assessment.
- Assessment sessions (face to face and Telehealth) using the online platform Zoom. Your psychologist will send you a link the morning of the appointment. During the assessment phase your psychologist will engage with the client and administer the tools related to your diagnostic needs.
- Questionnaires and Screen Tools (online and pen/paper) - Scientifically validated questionnaires and screening tools relevant to your diagnostic needs will be provided to yourself, parents, educators, friends/family (as appropriate).
- Report Preparation - Your psychologist will prepare a highly detailed diagnostic report with outcomes and recommendations where required.
- Feedback session with the psychologist (face to face and online) to discuss the report, any findings and recommendations. Education will be provided to help you understand yourself and the diagnosis. You will be provided with a PDF version of the assessment report for your personal copy, and a copy will also be provided to any referring/support professionals who would benefit from the information.
